The Asian Greens is an autonomous and independent policy advisory forum that share the same values with the majority of Global Green Parties.  However, every culture is unique and face different challenges.  American culture values individual freedom and mobility, while Asian cultures value respect for family & community.  How do Asian Americans reconcile this culture clash?  The mission of the Asian Greens is to learn from our Asian past so that we can chart a successful course into the future.  

The wisdom all ancient Asian cultures shared is that both the Heavens & Earth are sacred, and must be respected.  Therefore it was understood that (1) there exists a law of reciprocity.  Humans are just a part of nature; so no government, people, or person has the right to abuse the Earth - if one takes, one must also give back.  (2) Ecology is the foundation for a sustainable economy.

When unique survival skills are passed from one generation to the next, that body of knowledge becomes part of our culture.  We can not ignore or deny our past, otherwise we are destined to repeat our ancestors' mistakes!  Regardless of your Asian nationality or background, please join us.  We believe the accumulation of many diverse cultures build strength.  By sharing your culture, you'll help us build a better, more balanced, and more enduring democracy for all.  Thank you!
